Help me name my NEW BABY! {Kansas City Children's Photographer}

There's a new baby at our house. She's lovely...soft...and warm. I've been wanting and waiting for her for a very long time. So long, in fact, that I had completely stopped looking. And that's when it happened. I was out combing one of my favorite stores for some wooden chairs for an upcoming photo session when I spotted her nestled back in a corner. She called to me. I answered. It was love at first sight and as I darted across the store to meet her for the first time my heart was pounding "please be cheap, please be cheap, please be cheap". And she was. And I was SO happy! I couldn't resist taking her out for a spin last night to see how she photographs. So off we went in search of a country road and a bit of sunshine....

She's built to last...not a thread out of place on her lush upholstery or button missing from her tufting. Her wooden frame still has its original gleam. Some might call her golden. I feel almost guilty for the small price for which she became mine.

I'm hoping that her cushions will hold many family memories...captured on film.

These photos received a likety split post processing so that I could share our addition here. I would love to add some texture to these and frame them in a grouping in my home (if I can find any wall space). I wish that I didn't loose clarity on the images once loaded onto my blog. I have tried several of the suggestions posted here (repeating the unsharp mask feature at the new resolution) but I'm still not satisfied with the end result.

Oh I how I love these little faces...sun kissed and tired after a fun-filled summer afternoon.

And my handsome little man. Always ready with an eager smile!

My little girls...best friends...full of mischief and silliness...and lots of hugs!

I am working on hosting Christmas Card Mini Sessions this fall incorporating my new find. If you haven't booked your fall session please contact me soon. October is already quite full!

And just for fun. Let's NAME HER! Post your name suggestion here and if I choose your name...I'll send you something lots of fun!

How about Leelow (it's how I used to say Yellow when I was little) or perhaps Goldie? She make an excellent companion to the beautiful sunshine.

Love your new find!!! It's such a beautiful color. It will look so nice with autumn colors behind it, falling leaves and such. It will also look great with kids wearing festive holiday clothes!

When I was thinking of a name I started to think that it probably has a lot history (I would love to see the room it was originally in!). Then I thought of the lady who would have bought it and thought it would belong in the home of someone's Great Aunt Beatrice. So my vote is for Beatrice (or any other older classic lady's name really).

That is a gorgeous find! And can I just say, that last photo of A is absolutely stunning!!!

I'm sure it was no small undertaking to lug that out into nature. I'm excited to see your October photo shoots!

I think she needs a beautiful, old-fashioned name like Amelia (or Mimi for short).

You are incredible!!
You can sniff out a find better than anyone I've ever seen!!!

I'm terrible with names too, but Buttercup does sound good! :)

Agnes. She looks like an Agnes. Because Agnes is a name you have to live up to, and she has many stories to tell, and still lives to tell.

She photographs beautifully! I would call her Lady Jayne.

Oh, I love her! She is gorgeous! I wonder how old she is? I've had my eye out for a chair like this for a long time, but I haven't found her just yet.

I like the idea of an old fashioned name. It reminds me of one of my favorite short stories called "The Yellow Wallpaper" by Charlotte Perkins Gilman. Maybe you could call her Charlotte?

You have to share the steal of a deal price you got this beauty for!! I think she looks like "Lilly" Sweet, passionate and alluring!

I wish you lived closer...I have yellows in one of my fall collections!

Honey......maybe too yellow, though?

i'd call her miss maisy, since she's a mellow maize hue, and beautiful with a touch of spunk...just as i'd expect a maisy to be.

yellow is my new favorite color. LOVE this couch.

I don't know why, but I think Penelope would be perfect. I absolutely love your new addition!

I think Stella d'Oro would be perfect because she is canary yellow, like the day lily, and you could call her Stella for short, an old fashioned name. Also, Stella reminds me of "A Streetcar Named Desire," and I can picture you calling out Stella!!! when you spotted her.

Oh, I love STELLA! For some reason Maude comes to mind ... old fashioned name ... some seriously great suggestions here, Jenn ... Buttercup is awesome, and so is Nic's Maisy suggestion ...

Good luck ... oh, and the mini-session for Christmas cards is a seriously good business move ... perfect!
