Letting go...

Sometimes God asks us to let go. It is never easy. This week He is reminding me that although I would love to believe I am in control of things....I'm not. I've wept for a friend who lost her husband this week...and held mine a bit more closely.

And been put on bedrest.

I'm hoping that being forced to slow down will remind me of the fleeting moments I have with my girls. A chance to snuggle on the couch, play a game of Chutes and Ladders, read a princess story, or just tell them I love them. A chance to let go of the little things in life and concentrate on what really matters...my faith, my family, my love. And in this I'll rest.

Oh Jenn, I'm sorry you have to be on bedrest. :( If I lived close by I'd bring you a meal or two. But I can't think of a sweeter place to rest then surrounded by all of your "babies".

Sorry to hear about your friend's husband passing as well. A sad time for sure.

Big Hugs from a long lost friend!! I am so sorry, but you are right in that he works in mysterious ways. I needed to stumble across your blog today as I am having an "impatient day" with little Miss Brityn today and I need to remember that you never know when there is just not going to be another day at all. I have had a year of serious health issues with seizures (both Brityn and myself) and it is so good to remember that it is time to slow down every once in a great while to surround yourself with nothing but SMILES!

Hugs and smiles girlie!!

Jenn,

I'm so sorry to hear you have to be on bedrest :( no fun, I know - I had bedrest with Grace due to preterm labor at 32wks. (she was born just shy of 36 wks.). Enjoy some sweet moments with your precious girls before baby makes his/her grand entrance!
